About the Authors
Marjorie Liu is an American author of fantasy novels and comics, best known as the co-creator of the Monstress comics series with artist Sana Takeda. She won the Eisner Award for Best Graphic Album – New in 2023 for The Night Eaters, Book 1: She Eats the Night (Abrams ComicArts). She has also written for Marvel Comics.
Sana Takeda is a Japanese illustrator and comics artist known for the Monstress series (with Marjorie Liu) and The Night Eaters series. She won the Eisner Award for Best Graphic Album – New in 2023 for The Night Eaters, Book 1: She Eats the Night. Her art combines East Asian aesthetics with meticulous detail.
