Jason Allen-Paisant is a Jamaican-British poet and scholar who won the T.S. Eliot Prize in 2023 for Self-Portrait as Othello (Carcanet Press), a collection exploring race, nature, and Blackness in relation to the Western literary canon. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Leeds.
