Souvankham ThammavongsaCanadian
Souvankham Thammavongsa is a Canadian author and poet born in a refugee camp in Laos and raised in Toronto. Her short story collection How to Pronounce Knife won the 2020 Giller Prize. Her novel Pick a Colour won the 2025 Giller Prize, making her one of only two two-time winners.
