About This Book
Over the course of sixteen orbits of the earth, the six crew members of an international space station—from America, Russia, Britain, Italy, and Japan—carry out experiments, eat their freeze-dried food, and look down at the planet below. A novel of pure sensation and meditative beauty, Orbital concerns itself with the overwhelming experience of Earth viewed from space and what it means to be human.
