About This Book
Chanel Miller—previously known as 'Emily Doe,' the unnamed sexual assault survivor in the Brock Turner case—tells her own story for the first time: her identity, her assault behind a dumpster at Stanford University, the viral impact statement she delivered at Turner's sentencing, and the long aftermath of trauma, healing, and reclaiming her voice. One of the most important and beautifully written survivor memoirs of the decade.
About the Author
Chanel Miller is an American author, artist, and advocate. Born in 1992, she is best known as the survivor in the Stanford sexual assault case of 2016, in which Brock Turner was convicted of sexually assaulting her while she was unconscious behind a dumpster on the Stanford University campus.
