Pemi AgudaNigerian-American
Pemi Aguda is a Nigerian-American short story writer whose debut collection Ghostroots (2024) was a finalist for the National Book Award for Fiction. The collection blends supernatural elements with acute social observation in stories set between Nigeria and the Nigerian diaspora. Aguda has an MFA from the University of Michigan and has had her work published in Ploughshares, Zoetrope, and other literary journals.
