About the Authors
David Grossman is one of Israel's most celebrated novelists and essayists, known for his emotionally powerful explorations of loss, family, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Born in Jerusalem in 1954, his major works include *See Under: Love*, *The Yellow Wind*, and *A Horse Walks into a Bar*, which won the International Booker Prize in 2017. He received the Man Booker International Prize in 2017.
Jessica Cohen is an Israeli-American translator based in Israel who translates Hebrew literature into English. She shared the 2017 International Booker Prize with David Grossman for her translation of *A Horse Walks into a Bar*. Her other translations include works by Eshkol Nevo, Amir Gutfreund, and Dorit Rabinyan.
