Veera Hiranandani

Veera Hiranandani is an American children's author of Indian and Jewish heritage. She received a 2019 Newbery Honor for *The Night Diary*, a historical novel about the 1947 Partition of India told through the diary of a half-Hindu, half-Muslim girl. She is also the author of *The Whole Story of Half a Girl* and *How to Find What You're Not Looking For*.
