Robert Jones Jr.

Robert Jones Jr. is an American writer and editor born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1979. He is the creator of the social justice social media community 'Son of Baldwin.' His debut novel The Prophets (2021) was a finalist for the National Book Award for Fiction. The novel is set on a Mississippi plantation before the Civil War and tells the story of two enslaved men in love. Jones received a PEN/Hemingway Award Honorable Mention.
