About Paulette Jiles

Paulette Jiles is an American-Canadian poet and novelist born in the Missouri Ozarks in 1943. She spent years in Canada working for the CBC. Her poetry collections include Celestial Navigation (1984), which won the Pat Lowther Award, and The Jesse James Poems (1973). Her novel Enemy Women (2002) was a bestseller. News of the World (2016) was a finalist for the National Book Award for Fiction and a New York Times bestseller. She lives in San Antonio, Texas.
