Nasuġraq Rainey Hopson

Nasuġraq Rainey Hopson is an Iñupiaq author and artist from Alaska. She received a 2024 Newbery Honor for *Eagle Drums*, a middle-grade adventure novel set in traditional Iñupiaq culture, which she also illustrated. The book draws on her Indigenous heritage and the traditions of her community in northern Alaska.
