About Min Jin Lee

Min Jin Lee is a Korean-American novelist born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1968. Her family immigrated to the United States when she was seven. She studied history at Yale University and law at Georgetown University Law Center. Her debut novel Free Food for Millionaires (2007) was a notable debut. Pachinko (2017) was a finalist for the National Book Award for Fiction and the Dayton Literary Peace Prize, and was shortlisted for the Kirkus Prize. It was adapted as an Apple TV+ series in 2022.
