Erin E. Stead

Erin E. Stead is an American illustrator and author of children's picture books. She won the 2011 Caldecott Medal for *A Sick Day for Amos McGee*, written by her husband Philip C. Stead, using a unique pencil-on-foam printing technique. She is also the author-illustrator of *Bear Has a Story to Tell* and *A Polar Bear in the Snow*.
