Edith Pearlman

Edith Pearlman is an American short story writer born in 1936. She won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction in 2011 for *Binocular Vision: New and Selected Stories*, a career-spanning collection. She is considered one of America's great practitioners of the short story form, though she only began receiving widespread recognition late in her career.
