About Dean Koontz
Dean Koontz is one of the best-selling American authors of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, with more than 450 million copies of his books sold worldwide. Born in Everett, Pennsylvania in 1945, Koontz began his career writing science fiction before establishing himself as a master of the psychological thriller and supernatural horror genre. Koontz's most celebrated works include Watchers (1987), Intensity (1995), Odd Thomas (2003), and the multi-volume Frankenstein series. His Odd Thomas series—featuring a young short-order cook who can see the dead—became one of the most popular supernatural thriller franchises of its era. Saint Odd (2015), the final installment of the Odd Thomas series, won the Goodreads Choice Award for Horror that year. Koontz is known for his fast-paced plotting, vivid characters, and his tendency to blend horror with elements of adventure, mystery, and even comedy.
