Cory Doctorow is a Canadian-British author, blogger, and digital rights activist known for his techno-political science fiction and his prolific advocacy for internet freedom, open-access publishing, and anti-monopoly politics. He was a Locus Award finalist for Attack Surface (2021). Born in Toronto in 1971, Doctorow co-founded the Electronic Frontier Foundation Canada and has been a leading voice in debates about copyright, surveillance, and digital rights. His Little Brother series—beginning with Little Brother (2008)—is celebrated for making digital security and civil liberties accessible to young readers.
