Chigozie Obioma

Chigozie Obioma is a Nigerian novelist born in Akure, Ondo State, in 1986. His debut novel The Fishermen (2015) was shortlisted for the Booker Prize 2015 and the International Dublin Literary Award. An Orchestra of Minorities (2019) was shortlisted for the Booker Prize 2019. Obioma is a professor of literature and creative writing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His work draws on Igbo mythology and oral tradition.
