Carole Lindstrom

Carole Lindstrom is an Ojibwe/Métis author who wrote *We Are Water Protectors*, illustrated by Michaela Goade, which won the 2021 Caldecott Medal. The book was inspired by Indigenous-led movements to protect water. She is also the author of *Grandmother Fish: A Child's First Book About Evolution* and *Girls Dance, Boys Fiddle*.
