Beth Krommes

Beth Krommes is an American illustrator and author known for her intricate scratchboard illustration technique. She won the 2009 Caldecott Medal for *The House in the Night*, written by Susan Marie Swanson, using bold contrasting black-and-white imagery with touches of gold.
