Benjamín Labatut

Benjamín Labatut is a Chilean-Dutch author born in Rotterdam in 1980, raised in Chile. His 2020 work *When We Cease to Understand the World*, shortlisted for the 2021 International Booker Prize, blends fiction and nonfiction in unsettling accounts of scientific discovery. He writes in Spanish and has garnered wide international acclaim.
