Ben Markovits

Ben Markovits is an American-British novelist born in San Francisco in 1973. He grew up partly in Germany and has taught in Texas and London. His early novels included a trilogy about Lord Byron. He is known for his basketball novels, including Playing Days (2012), You Don't Have to Live Like This (2015), and a series following a fictional NBA player. The Rest of Our Lives (2025) was shortlisted for the 2025 Booker Prize.
