About Ann Patchett
Ann Patchett is an American novelist born in Los Angeles in 1963. She studied at Sarah Lawrence College and the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Bel Canto (2001) won the PEN/Faulkner Award and the Orange Prize for Fiction. The Dutch House (2019) was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. Patchett is the co-owner of Parnassus Books in Nashville, Tennessee, and a prominent advocate for independent bookstores.
