About Angie Cruz

Angie Cruz is a Dominican-American novelist born in New York City in 1972. She grew up in Washington Heights, Manhattan. Her debut novel Soledad (2001) was followed by Let It Rain Coffee (2005) and Dominicana (2019), which was a finalist for the Women's Prize for Fiction and the ABA Indies Choice Award. Cruz is a professor of creative writing at the University of Pittsburgh and the founding editor of Aster(ix), a literary journal.
