Andrea L. Rogers

Andrea L. Rogers is a Cherokee author from Oklahoma who wrote *Chooch Helped*, illustrated by Rebecca Lee Kunz, which won the 2025 Caldecott Medal. Her book is about a Cherokee girl and her younger brother who she must teach to help. Rogers is also the author of the young adult novel *Man Made Monsters*. Both she and illustrator Kunz are citizens of the Cherokee Nation.
