About Adam Nevill
Adam Nevill is a British horror fiction author known for his relentlessly terrifying novels blending folk horror, supernatural dread, and psychological intensity. He won the British Fantasy Award for Best Horror Novel multiple times, including for The Reddening (2020) and No One Gets Out Alive (2015). Born in Birmingham in 1969, Nevill grew up in the West Midlands and New Zealand. He worked in the hospitality industry for many years while writing. His debut The Ritual (2011) became a critical sensation and was adapted into a film in 2017. The Reddening draws on Devon's landscape and prehistoric past to create a tale of ancient, monstrous continuity beneath the surface of modern rural England. Nevill is known for his immersive, oppressive atmospheres and his unflinching portrayal of human vulnerability. He lives in England and has self-published several works alongside his mainstream fiction career.
